Applications are now open for Chief Brad Fortune's Student Police Forums. They're advisory groups in Keller and Westlake that connect high school students with Keller Police Department leadership.
The Student Forums meets six to nine times per year with police command staff to share information and ideas about issues that impact the area’s young adults.
These groups serve as an opportunity to promote and maintain open, honest, and transparent communication between Westlake residents/Westlake Academy students who are in high school and their police department.
So that students can be involved for at least a year before they graduate, the forums are open to current freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Applications reopen each spring to fill spots created by graduations.
Applications to both forums are due at 8 a.m. Monday, May 9. Please be aware that selected students will require permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate. Click
